Evolution of X-Ray People Screening: The S.E.E. Algorithm

The Super Edge Enhancement (S.E.E.) image processing algorithm was initially developed for the CONPASS Smart TR full-body scanner. Currently, S.E.E. is employed as the default algorithm in all people X-Ray screening systems. This has led to a significant improvement in image quality, resulting in positive user feedback.

Cutting-Edge Clarity: S.E.E. Algorithm Features

S.E.E. cutting-edge image enhancement tool uses sophisticated algorithms to provide optimized clarity and contrast of threats and contraband on or within the human body. S.E.E. processes each image to provide the operator with a highly effective super resolution image which is tailored according to individual scanned.


It is a specially designed image processing algorithm that automatically adjusts resulting X-ray images to display both high- and low-density objects. It is provided to reduce the time spent on image analysis for operators and significantly increase the effectiveness of the screening procedure.


Streamlining Image Analysis: S.E.E. for Operator Efficiency

Upon completion of the standard scanning procedure, the operator receives the raw-format image in the following way:

The operator uses standard image processing filters during the image analysis to find and identify prohibited objects. The results depend entirely on the operator’s skills, with working hours and various human factors also playing a significant role. The image processing time also depends on the range and nature of the objects that need to be found and identified.
